Introduction

IssueDesk (“the App”) is a Shopify application developed by Fantasium Media (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you install and use our App through the Shopify platform.

Information We Collect

When you install and use IssueDesk, we access and store the following information:

From Shopify (via authorized API scopes):

• Order data (order numbers, line items, fulfillment status) via the read_orders scope
• Customer information associated with orders (name, email) via the read_customers scope
• Shop information (store name, domain, owner email)
• Staff/user information from the authenticated Shopify session

Generated within the App:

• Issues created by your team
• Timeline entries, notes, and comments
• Team member profiles and notification preferences
• Subscription and billing plan selections

How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected solely to provide and improve the App’s functionality — displaying and linking order data to issues, sending email notifications, managing subscriptions, and syncing team members. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Third-Party Services

• Shopify — platform and billing
• Fly.io — cloud hosting (US/Chicago)
• Resend — email delivery

Each is subject to their own privacy policies.

Data Storage and Security

• All data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on Fly.io in the United States.
• Data is transmitted using HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• Database access requires authentication credentials.

Data Retention

Data is retained while the App is installed. Upon uninstalling, all data is automatically deleted via our app/uninstalled webhook. We process customers/redact and shop/redact requests per GDPR and Shopify requirements.

Your Rights

• Access your data through the App
• Delete your data by uninstalling the App
• Request data export or manual deletion by emailing dloud@fantasiummedia.com

EEA users have additional rights to data portability and lodging complaints with supervisory authorities.

GDPR Compliance

We act as a data processor on behalf of Shopify merchants (data controllers). We process personal data only as necessary to provide the App’s services.

Children’s Privacy

The App is designed for Shopify merchants and their staff. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy and will indicate changes via the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
